Search for my Animal Totem Begins

I'm going to skip the whole, I know i don't post much schpeel (sp) and just get on with it... I finally made it to the library the other day, I know it does not sound like much but I have not been to one in years... probably walked out with like thirty books(I have no cable or internet since I moved out of my apartment and need something productive to do, and what better then to read, and further my writing/ note taking skills)one of which, is a guide to figuring out your animal totem/ spirit, or, if you already know it, then it offers spells and such to bring you closer to it.

I have always wondered what mine was, though I have a bit of n idea, but I realized that my idea, may have been a temporary guide as well. The book goes on to give an example, which I don't know off the top of my head, but it is for a hardship, or if you need more courage, the guide shows up to help lead you until you succeed in what you do, are out of some sort of rough patch (this whole entry is rough in itself).

Anyways, my first idea, I noticed a little over a year ago, was a fox. I had been coming across a lot of references to them weather it was television or mere conversation. But, I was driving home from work one night (like 2 am) and I'm entering the highway on ramp, and this disheveled fox is crossing it. So i slow down, I don't want to spook him, but I really want to see him too. We made eye contact for near a minute I would say. He trotted off, and I continued onward. But after everything, he was there, and it stuck with me. I'm pretty sure I dreamed of him later on too.

I'm not sure if it says anything, but I don't much believe in coincidence, but just as I was thinking the fox was only temporary in my life, I turn around at work (a different job in a different city) and there are stuffed toys, in multiple colors, of a fox, and something in me made me feel like Fox never left me after all.

My second idea, which, until I do research on, is/ are alligator and crocodile. I have the biggest obsession with the large reptiles, near cry every time I watch one be put down because it's "law" and have a giant stuffed pillow of one now too... also, my favorite color is green.

Like I said, research into behaviors and attitude for all totem ideas need to be done.
